This is a "Jaws" post. Just when you thought it was safe to go in the water again...

We are now in the final two days of the Indiegogo campaign. With editor Lindsey Tate now on the team as editor and my wife Wendy doing a terrific job coordinating all the research from our great Music & Medicine experts we are very excited about the prospects for this book. And among other things I've cyber-met new people from all around the world - many in the Music and Medicine field that I'm very proud to be part of.

By the way, of the 60 Funders to date, 79 of them have come from members here at RMMGA. Thanks everyone!!

And please enjoy this brief musical interlude:

Yours truly,

Andrew

P.S. Special thanks to Dave M. who pointed out all the shortcomings in the first version I posted. Valid constructive criticism is one of the best things in the world, second only to Breyers mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Don, it's called synergy!

A few people here contributed to the campaign, they know who they are and I thanked them privately.

Indiegogo had been recommended to me by a professional fundraiser who does grants for big institutions. Her husband and son are professional musicians and she said Indiegogo was the crowdfunder of choice for music based on what she'd heard from them. I really liked working with Indiegogo, among other things their tech support is great. And we raised enough to get through a crucial period.

By doing the campaign I've also found two other NGs to have fun with besides RMCG - here and RMMGJ. I'm primarily a classical player but played a lot of acoustic guitar years ago (and a classical guitar is an acoustic for that matter) and I also play a lot of tunes besides the classical repertoire. I find the trick to being in a NG is to put it in your toolbar, you visit regularly that way. I really enjoy this place, notwithstanding the fact that Hank Alrich posts here.

All best,

Andrew
