I am at my wits end!! I have a Takamine Classical (CP132SC) with
AccurAcoustic electronics. The electronics module is down ( white noise ,
lots of loud popping etc.) The instrument is only 2 years old and altho it
is guaranteed for life , the electronics module is not. My local dealer
can't repair it because Takamine does'nt sell the parts. I can send it back
to Japan but there is a minimum of twelve months on repairs. I can buy a new
module for around $300.00 but dealers around the country can't even get
Takamine on the phone to order one. I am a professional musician. I feed my
family with the tools of my trade. I deeply regret the purchase of this
"Takamine" instrument. I urge anyone considering doing business with this
kind of organization (dis organization ) to think twice!! I would have
e-mailed the company to vent my anger but they hide behind their dealers
over the net and offer no direct access.

I have owned a Takamine acoustic for close to three years. Within the first month I realized the action was getting higher. It turns out the front plate and bridge were weak and were bowing. I finally got a local Takamine service dealer to get a RMA from KMC music and I paid $95.00 to ship it to Connecticut.
They determine they would replace it with a new guitar of lesser value. I eventually agreed and was waiting for a response. When I did not receive one I called. They told me they no longer were working with Takamine. And that Takamine came in and took out all of their guitars out of KMC.
KMC said they would return my guitar but I already spend $95.00 and all this time so I contacted Takamine via email. No response in a week and a half.
What kind of Company is this? Does anyone have an answer. I thought the Japanese were reputable people but it does not appear to be so.
