Recently demo'd one of the 0 size (informally) at a show, at request from a
partner in my booth-share... a past RMMGA'er

Played Libba's "Freight train" IIRC. It had a p/u, and I plugged into a
micro-acoustic amp that later sold for $25.

Main point is that immediately following there were (4) buyers for the
guitar in line. I was number 4, cuz 3 of em got in line before I finished.

It isn't a Martin-ish or hand-built deeper sound, it's an early 30's ladder
braced feel.

I didn't even look inside, but whatever the construction for sure had a
solid top. If they can keep that quality up at that pricepoint... they'll
reshape the market.

YMMV,

They claim to have all solid tops. I couldn't find info on country of
origin on their website, but on Musician's Friend they list 13 models as
being from China, 2 from the U.S. and 2 from Canada. Wonder if the
listing is correct--the Canadian guitars (including the single O satin
sunburst) are as inexpensive as the Chinese models.

Thx Steve,

I still hurt for not bein able to take home the one I played. In a few
short minutes it oozed songs and new thoughts out and coaxed some "I want
this" emotion from me.

That's a completely "don't suck" thought, for ~200 out the door list.

In the end at the event I sold enuff to break even at the day including gas
and meals, and had to settle for the $25 Ibanez (used obv) amp, but I'm not
disappointed anyway. I've got a killer keys guy I'm working with, and this
will help setup our multiple rehearsal spots.

Most of all, I'm just sayin' the instrument I played was worthy of title
"instrument", and one that got away.

Always nice to hear about a good instrument that doesn't break the bank.

I have been recommending these to my students since one of them showed
up with one a year or two ago - I'm still recommending them. Hey, it's
a $200 guitar, but it's a pretty good $200 guitar.
